After three years, a Vinitaly of rebirth

A very intense two days: many meetings, old and new friends and colleagues with whom I tasted and shared emotions and future plans.

From the Alps to the Pyramids, actually from Piedmont to Puglia, via Trentino and my Tuscany, on all 4 different wineries two great men and two legendary Women of Wine.

From Piedmont, Massimo Pastura of Cascina La Ghersa in the hills between Nizza Monferrato and Moasca, overlooking the "Nizza Valley," All uniquely Piedmontese native varieties: Barbera (d'Asti DOC), Timorasso (DOC from the Colli Tortonesi) and Cortese, in the Gavi docg appellation.

To Trentino Lucia Letrari, Donna del Vino, of the Letrari winery in Rovereto, on all Trento Doc bubbles but also teroldego and marzemino.

In my Tuscany, I visited the stand of my friend Alessandro Mori, the king of Brunello, who for the occasion let me taste Iacopo, the full-bodied and intense 2019 Rosso di Montalcino, really of beautiful persistence.

My journey through Italy came down to Puglia from Marianna Cardone, legendary Donna del Vino, Delegate for Puglia and ambassador of Valle d'Itria and the wines of the Locorotondo area. From sparkling igp rosé from pinot noir to fresh verdeca, a true native gem.

A wonderful opportunity to get together with the Women of Wine, the assembly as a time to share activities and the dinner at the end of Vinitaly to get together in a nice convivial moment and toast together to the future.
