From Marchesi Frescobaldi to Tenuta di Perano

On Saturday, September 18, the first 2021 convivial meeting of the Tuscan Consulate of the 'Union Européenne des Gourmets: star of the event the Estate of San Donato in Perano, the estate in Chianti Classico recently acquired by the Frescobaldi Family between Gaiole in Chianti and Radda, one of the most vocated areas of the Black Rooster appellation. In all there are 250 hectares, 60 planted with vines, 52 of which are Chianti Classico facing south.
The Marquis Lamberto Frescobaldi received us along with Tenuta Hospitality Manager Francesca Mori and Technical Director Gianni Luchini.
After the welcome drink with finger food, cold cuts and cheese selection and toast with
Leonia Pomino Brut Millesimato, Gianni Luchini accompanied us to the vineyard and then the Marquis showed us around the winery, telling us how the acquisition of the estate in Chianti Classico fulfilled a long-standing dream for his family.
 
At the end of the visit we started the food and wine tour:
- Mugello burrata, anchovies, lemon fennel pesto, whole red pignoletto Orcia corn veils paired with Alìe Rosè IGT Tuscany, from the Winery of the L'Ammiraglia estate, owned by Marchesi de' Frescobaldi
- Homemade Senatore Cappelli buttons stuffed with guinea fowl, lemon-scented date sauces paired with Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG, from the Estate Castle Of Nipozzano - Fi
- Tagliata del cacciato del Chianti accompanied by Celtica red potatoes with herbs, paired with Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG of the Perano Estate
- Creamy milk cake, Pomino Estate chestnut honey cookie, lavender ice cream, paired with Pomino Vinsanto DOC from the estate Castello Di Pomino - Marchesi De' Frescobaldi
