The 12th birthday of the Siena/Florence/Tuscany Consulate was celebrated at thePalazzetti Farmhouse with wines from the Carpineta Fontalpino Farm, of Gioia Cresti e Philip Cresti, extraordinary producers of Montaperti in the Castelnuovo Berardenga area, an organic production excellence of the Italian territory.
Fantastic pairings of almost unobtainable traditional dishes such as stuffed neck with mayonnaise and salsa verde (my grandmother Ida used to cook it, now a distant childhood memory), sage and fried squash blossoms with the wonderful Boulè, a classic method, in the vein of French and Oltrepò tradition.
Gnudi with homemade ragout with Montaperto , an elegant Chianti Classico 2015 and Duck in porchetta , zucchini flan with Carpineta Fontalpino with Do ut des , IGT Toscana 2015, fine and very elegant blend of sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and merlot.
Finally, grandmother's cake and Moscato di Asti.
